I was born in a small Russian town with population of 160 thousand. Anything smaller than that would probably be considered a village in Russia. So what do you call a town of 4 thousand people, in which I currently reside? A Swedish family? Just curious…
Sometimes I so wish I could be a big city girl and live in a big city world! I would totally rock that big city mom concept! I would take my little lady to different museum and parks and galleries every day. We would eat lunch at a different independent shop every day. I would run to the bakery on the corner for my morning breakfast sandwich and a latte. I would go to roof-top yoga with other moms on the block. Heck, I would probably even wear heels. All in all, I would be much, much cooler than I am now and my Instagram feed won’t have the same lake view every day.
But then hubby gets home from work, we all walk outside, play in our gorgeous front yard, and it’s all right in the world. All of a sudden being a Maxxenista (I have no other choice here) and having 2 decent restaurants in town isn’t all that bad. All of a sudden, I live in paradise and forget all that big city nonsense; I want to say hi to people at Walmart, because I know their aunt’s second cousin’s daughter-in-law. All of a sudden, I feel super-duper cool, because my baby girl looks up at me with those big eyes filled with amazement, which only comes with discovering that duck poop all over our dock can stick to her shoes.
So, yeah…

That big city life you're talking about sounds quite expensive; stay in the small town with us! Free story hour, (formerly) free music class, free canoe rides, soon-to-be free splash pad, and lots and lots and lots of free friends. :D
