Hello, friend. I’m Lena. I’m a Russian transplant, turned Hoosier, complete with a Midwestern twang and love for sweet corn. I even know what "knee-high by the fourth of July" means, and "down south" to me is Kentucky. 

I’m happily married to a hunky guy named Greg and a proud mama of a little social bug, Annika (2) and a sweet bundle of joy, named Leo (brand new) . I live on a gorgeous lake and am certain God was feeling extra generous when he was planning out my life.

I love spending time with my little family, laking, reading and writing. I find delight in small things like lattes, dressing up, candles, Bath and Body Works cinnamon lip gloss, movies on the couch with my main squeeze, occasional glass of red, chilly morning walks, roasting marshmallows, hand lotion, and yes, all right, The Bachelor. My favorite pastime is photography. Taking pictures gets me all giddy, and thanks to the viewfinder my left eye will soon have many more wrinkles than my right.  I absolutely love taking pictures of people, decor, and the beautiful outdoors. 
I'm a teacher, but about to venture in on a year as a stay-at-home-mama. In my dreams I see this year full of fun kid activities, play dates, park walks, as well as DIY projects, books, mommy coffee dates and gym time for me. However, my patience and my cooking skills tell me it may not look as perfect as I envision it. Good luck to me:)
